Idle.PNG
This was made in Piskel, which is a website that can be used to make pixel art.
This is the idle state of the AI so when it is not attacking or defending it will do this animation. The size of the AI sprite is large so it can be seen by the player clearly.

When making the level, this mood board helped me because with Mario I liked the simple level design, I used Cuphead because I like the art style of the game because it is unique. Also, I chose Sonic because you can keep the momentum of hitting the enemies and with Crash Bandicoot I liked the different ways you can hit the enemies such as the spin attack. Finally, I chose Metroid because there are not many 2D games set in space.

The yellow block is an enemy which can damage the player or make them lose their power-up and the grey block is a checkpoint which spawns the player there after the reached if the die after reaching the checkpoint then they will respawn at the checkpoint.
Medkit-Open.PNG
Medkit.PNG
This is a health sprite which can heal the player if their health is low because if the player health is full then they won't pick it up. The size of the health sprite is large so it can be seen by the player clearly.
Also, this was made in Unreal Engine 4.
This is one of my level maps which is heavy influenced by Super Mario Bros. The purple block is random item block so when the player hits the block it gives them a power-up which can be helpful to the player so they can defeat the enemies.
The platforms are spaced apart because it gives the player more of a challenge as they could fall down the gaps.

This is my level in Unreal Engine 4
from Epic Games.
The Health Bar is from Unreal Engine 4. The bar shows health which the player has e.g 100HP, 25HP, 10HP or 0HP. If the player picks up a Medkit like the one above then the player will collect more health so it wouldn't be difficult to die by enemies. When it's open it means that the player can't use it again and will have to find different one.

Attack.PNG
This is an AI attacking the player and it was made in Piskel, Piskel is pixel art website which allows you to create your own pixel art.
Also, the AI will only attack the player if they are too close to the enemy.

CharRunning.PNG
This is the running
animation, I created this
by using different frames
of the running animation so it was made into a Flipbook which is where different textures are put into one to make it like it's one full motion.
AI idle.png
This was made in Piskel and I used different tools to make it such as Brush, Eraser, Fill and the Colour Picker which you can use on any part on the screen so if you need black but your Primary and Secondary colours are full with another colour you can use it on the background.

This is how to get your texture to become a sprite. You right click on the texture you want to become a sprite, then click on Sprite Actions and then click on Create Sprite and it will should have a light blue line on it.

With creating the Flipbook you need to right click on the sprite you want to become a Flipbook and then at the top of the menu there is Create Flipbook click it and you will have a Flipbook. It should look like this ------------->
